The Planning and Development Services Department staff offers professional advice and technical expertise on development-related topics such as planning and zoning, platting, land use, tree preservation, building permits, sign permits, building inspections, and code enforcement.

All Planning and Development Services applications are accepted in PDF file formats by email or Drop Box. Applications must be completed, signed, and scanned in PDF file format. All supporting plans and documents must also be in a PDF. Please send all documents to PlanningSubmittal@Ci.Southlake.Tx.Us.*Please note that this process is only for development cases. All plans for permits must be submitted through the City's permit portal.*
Submittals will be accepted for processing in accordance with the published submittal schedules. Upon review of your initial application, you will be forwarded an invoice for the application fee, which can be paid through EnerGov Customer Self Service portal. All fees must be paid prior to the acceptance of a formal submittal.

Planning and Development Services staff also works with the Southlake City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Corridor Planning Committee concerning submitted development cases.
